Rajamouli Eega has bagged the National Award for Best Special Effects. This is a proud moment for Telugu Cinema .

 In year 2000,  Ramoji Rao’s ‘Nuvve Kavali ‘ staring Tarun & Richa got this award and no other Telugu commercial film has bagged the award in ‘Best Film in Telugu’ category till now  and After 12 years gap Rajamouli’s Eega bagged this award.

 Eega selected for this award after 3 years gap , last award in this category was given in 2008 to ’1940 Lo Oka Gramam’ and No awards were given to any Telugu films in 2009,2010,2011.

 Eega which is based on revenge backdrop of fly also bagged Best Special Effects awards as the movie is completely screened with the help of Computer graphics.
