Because, the role of heroine is quite short and the characterization lacks depth in this boring movie. That would have been a big letdown for Samantha, and that's why she opted out, says an analyst. And coming to the secret laugh thing, the film is not getting applause from audiences and Samantha will not be feeling regrets for quitting 'Kadali'. So what lies underneath is her quite laugh at the flick.
