Ever since director S.S.Rajamouli announced the title of his new Prabhas-Anushka-Rana starrer as 'Baahubali', there has been a great deal of interest from the people of Karnataka.
But, the director says that the only similarity the film has is in the title. "This is not the story of Baahubali of Gomateshwara. My story is completely set in a fictitious period with fictitious characters. The name of my protagonist happens to be Baahubali; that's all." says the director.
With regards to recent rumours about how Sudeep was the first choice for the antagonist's role in this film, Rajamouli says, " I haven't approached Sudeep or any other actor to play a role in Baahubali. The three lead actors have been my original choice."
